With vacation and getting organized for summer, I’ve had to set my sewing aside for longer than anticipated. It was nice to get some machine time this week. I am really liking the colors that are going into this quilt for sister. Of course, she is super excited to see the blocks come together. I told her last night that I hope to get the top finished this weekend. We will see how that pans out. I have completed all the cutting, so I should be able to move forward quickly.
I have 12 blocks to complete. They are in the yellow color palette. I think the yellow will add a nice dimension to all the blues and greens. I thought sister would be happy with the pink blocks, but she says that blues and greens are her favorites.
Of course, this is no where close to the layout. While I like the modern look, I think sister will be happier with the blocks mixed up. It will be fun to play with the layout when I get all the squares completed.
