This week, I got to focus my sewing attention on 2 new little babies that were born to 2 separate families in recent weeks.
These 2 little girls are GREAT blessings to some parents who experienced the heartbreak of a miscarriage before experiencing the joy of a child. Unfortunately, I know that pain, too. So, it was with extra prayers of thanksgiving and praise that I stitched up these self-binding baby blankets. I followed this tutorial at Pink Suede Shoes. It is a great tutorial and an easy project. I just love how these simple blankets look when they are complete — and look at the beautiful corners.
I know that these 2 little girls are a joy to their families. I hope these blankets will be, too.

These are really pretty blankets! Thanks for sharing the tutorial link. I have to make a few myself. Have a great weekend!
I love pink’s tutorials! And you did a great job! I love celebrating babies too – they are one of life’s best blessings. Really pretty!
They are so sweet! And I’m sure those baby girls will feel all the love that you stitched into them, too.
Thank you for sharing your heart! I love celebrating babies, too – especially when, more and more, they are considered a burden in our society, rather than precious treasures from the Lord! The blankets are adorable. What a sweet gift. May God bless you for your kindness!
I’ve never done a self binding that looked as good as yours. Ok, I only ever did it once but it looked so awful I never attempted it again. I’m going to check out the tutorial, thank you for posting it, it’s just what I need!
Michelle, I just gasped when I saw the lettering and the blankets! Sew, super sweet and cute! I know these lil’ blessings are just going to love them and carry them around for comfort and warmth! What a sweet heart gifting such beautiful gifts!
Wow, those corners look great! The blankets are adorable. I especially love the animal print, I scored a remnant of that print in green.
Beautiful blankets! I love a warm receiving blanket.
